Affiliate programme terms

These terms apply if you join the Powerful Digital Marketing affiliate programme and refer customers to us in return for commission. Please read them before you apply. To find out more or apply, see our affiliate programme page.

Last updated: 24 October 2026

1. About us and these terms

The programme is run by The Powerful Group Limited, trading as Powerful Digital Marketing (“we”, “us”, “our”), registered in England and Wales, company number 09629669, at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. VAT number GB527555766. Email: info@powerfuldigitalmarketing.com.

“You” means the business that joins the programme (our “partner”). When you apply, you accept these terms.

2. Who can join

  • The programme is open to businesses only, including sole traders, acting for the purposes of their trade, business or profession.
  • You must be at least 18, and your website, social channels and other promotion must be lawful and suitable to sit next to our brand.
  • You must give us accurate details, and keep them up to date.

3. Applying and approval

You apply through our affiliate programme page. We review every application and may accept or refuse it at our discretion, without giving a reason. You are part of the programme only once we confirm your approval by email.

4. How referrals are tracked

  • When you are approved, you get your own referral link.
  • When someone clicks your link, a referral cookie is set on their device, if they accept it in our cookie banner. See our cookie policy.
  • If they buy from us within 60 days of their last click on your link, the sale is credited to you.
  • If a customer clicks more than one partner’s link, the last partner whose link they clicked before buying gets the credit.
  • We can only credit sales we can track. We are not responsible for sales that are not tracked because the customer declined cookies, cleared them, used another device or did not use your link.
  • Our tracking records are final, unless they are clearly wrong.

5. Commission

  • Rate: 20% of each payment, for as long as the referred customer stays subscribed.
  • Commission is worked out on the amount the customer actually pays us, excluding VAT, refunds and any discounts. Ad spend is never included, because customers pay it directly to Google or Meta.
  • You earn commission only on new customers, who have not bought from us before.
  • Commission on a plan stops when the customer cancels it. Commission on one-off items is paid once, on the payment for that item.

6. When you get paid

  • Payout threshold: £50. If your approved commission is below this, it carries over to the next payout.
  • Payment timing: monthly, 30 days after the end of the month in which the commission was earned.
  • Payment method: bank transfer or PayPal.
  • Commission is approved only after the clawback period in section 7 has passed.
  • VAT: commission is worked out on the price excluding VAT. If you are VAT registered, you may add VAT at the current rate to your commission invoice and must include your VAT number. If you are not VAT registered, you receive the commission only, with no VAT added.

7. Refunds, cancellations and clawbacks

If a referred customer gets a refund, makes a chargeback or cancels within 30 days of a payment, we will not pay commission on that payment. If we have already paid it, we will deduct it from your next payout.

8. Self-referrals and fraud

You must not:

  • refer yourself, your own business, or businesses you own or control;
  • buy through your own link, or ask anyone to do so in return for a reward;
  • use cookie stuffing, hidden links, pop-ups, bots, fake clicks or any other method that sets a referral cookie without a genuine click;
  • offer cashback, rebates or discounts we have not approved in writing.

If we reasonably believe that a referral breaks these rules, we will not pay commission on it, and we may close your account.

9. Promoting us: brand and advertising rules

When you promote us, you must:

  • make it clear that you earn commission, for example with “Ad” or “affiliate link”, in line with the CAP Code (Advertising Standards Authority) and the Competition and Markets Authority’s guidance on hidden advertising;
  • only describe our services accurately, using the information on our website. All prices are + VAT, and you must show them that way;
  • never promise results we do not. We only promise what we make ourselves (articles, posts, listings, pages, checks and reports), never rankings, links or traffic;
  • follow the law, including consumer protection law and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

You must not:

  • bid on our brand names or variations in paid search, including “Powerful Digital Marketing”, “Powerful Bots” and “Powerful Pages”, or misspellings of them, or use them in ad copy or display URLs;
  • send spam, or any marketing email or text message that the person has not agreed to receive;
  • pretend to be us, or suggest you are our employee or official partner beyond being an affiliate;
  • use our logos or brand materials except those we give you, without changing them;
  • promote us on websites or channels with unlawful, hateful, adult or misleading content.

10. Data protection

You and we each decide how we use personal data in the programme, so each of us is a separate controller and must follow UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • We use your details to run the programme and pay you, as explained in our privacy policy.
  • We do not share referred customers’ personal details with you. Your reports show sales and commission, not who the customers are.
  • You must not send us people’s personal data (for example lists of leads) unless you have a lawful basis to do so and have told them.

11. Tax

You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance and VAT on the commission you earn. We do not deduct tax from payments.

12. Our relationship

You are an independent business. These terms do not make you our employee, agent or partner in law, and you cannot make promises or sign contracts on our behalf.

13. Ending your membership

  • You can leave the programme at any time by emailing us.
  • We can end your membership at any time with 30 days’ notice by email, or straight away if you break these terms.
  • When your membership ends, you must stop using your referral link and our brand. We will pay approved commission earned before the end date at the next payout date, unless we ended your membership because you broke these terms.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue or opportunity, or for indirect losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the commission paid to you in the 3 months before the claim.

15. Changes to the programme

We may change these terms, the commission rates or the programme. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects your commission. Commission already earned is not affected. If you do not agree, you can leave the programme.

16. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
