Environmental policy
The Powerful Group Limited (“we”, “us”) runs Powerful Digital Marketing, Powerful Reviews and Powerful Tickets. This policy sets out our main environmental impacts and the practical steps we take to reduce them.
Effective date: 27 October 2026
Our commitment
We will comply with all environmental law that applies to us and with any environmental or climate requirements our clients set in a contract. Where it is practical, we will reduce the environmental impact of how we work and of the work we deliver.
We are a small team and most of our work is digital, so this policy focuses on everyday choices rather than formal programmes. We do not hold ISO 14001 or any other environmental certification.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who works for us, including employees, freelancers and contractors, and to the partners and suppliers we engage on client work.
Our main impacts
- Business travel: travel to client meetings, client sites and events
- Energy and IT: the computers and devices we use and the energy they use at home, and the online services we rely on
- Digital advertising and hosting: the websites, ads and online content we create and run for clients
- Print and out-of-home (OOH) advertising: delivered for clients through partners who work as part of our extended team
- Travel booked through Powerful Tickets: we do not yet measure these emissions
What we do
- Home working. Our team works from home and we do not have an office, which avoids daily commuting and the energy use of separate office premises. Our registered office is at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We hold client meetings, workshops and reviews online by default, and when travel is needed we will use public transport where practical.
- Digital-first advice. We recommend digital channels where they serve the audience equally well.
- Responsible print and OOH. Where we deliver print or OOH advertising for a client, we ask our partners for recycled or FSC or PEFC-certified materials, accurate print runs, and responsible recycling or disposal of used materials.
- Efficient digital work. We build lightweight websites, choose efficient hosting and avoid wasted ad impressions.
- Equipment and energy at home. We switch off equipment when it is not in use, choose energy-efficient devices when we replace them, and keep devices in use for as long as practical. When IT equipment reaches the end of its life, we will dispose of it through approved WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) recycling routes.
- Client requirements. We meet any carbon-reporting or environmental requirement set in a client contract.
Targets
We are preparing a carbon reduction plan in the Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 006 format. We will link to it here once it is published.
Each year we will set at least one practical improvement objective. Our first objective is to calculate our first carbon baseline by 27 April 2027, within six months of approving this policy.
Responsibilities and review
Andrew Todd, CEO, is responsible for this policy. Everyone who works with us is responsible for following it in their own work.
We will review this policy at least once a year, and sooner if the law, our services or our clients’ requirements change.
