Modern slavery statement
This statement sets out the steps The Powerful Group Limited (“we”, “us”) takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
Effective date: 27 October 2026
A voluntary statement
Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement only from organisations with a total annual turnover of £36 million or more. Our turnover is well below that, so we are not legally required to publish one. We have chosen to do so because we think every business, whatever its size, should know who it works with and say what it does.
Our business
The Powerful Group Limited is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 09629669). We are a small team. Our brands are:
- Powerful Digital Marketing: SEO, web design, social media and digital marketing services for businesses
- Powerful Reviews: review and reputation services
- Powerful Tickets: travel
Our supply chains
Our supply chains are short and mostly digital. The main ones are:
- Digital and software suppliers: hosting, software and cloud services, payment providers and online tools
- Freelancers: writers, designers, developers and other specialists who work with us on client projects
- Travel suppliers for Powerful Tickets: travel companies and booking platforms, and through them hotels, transport and tour providers
Our policy
We do not tolerate modern slavery, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in our business or supply chains. We expect our suppliers and freelancers to meet the same standard. Our approach is supported by our equality, diversity and inclusion policy and our sexual harassment policy.
Within our own business, everyone is paid at least the London Living Wage, will have a written contract or agreement setting out their terms, and can raise concerns without fear of being treated badly.
Due diligence and risk
We think the risk of modern slavery in our own business is low. Where risk exists, it is most likely to be:
- in hotels, cleaning, catering, transport and tour services used by travel suppliers, which are higher-risk sectors
- in freelance work bought through online platforms, where we cannot always see how or by whom the work is done
- further down the supply chains of large technology suppliers, for example in hardware manufacture
To manage these risks, we:
- pay freelancers fairly and on time, agree rates and deadlines that are realistic, and deal with the person doing the work
- prefer established travel suppliers and platforms that publish their own modern slavery statements or ethical standards, and will check these when we take on a new supplier
- ask questions, and stop using a supplier, if we have concerns that we cannot resolve
- review our suppliers and this statement each year
Training
Everyone who works for us is made aware of this statement at induction and when it is updated, including how to spot the signs of modern slavery and how to report a concern. Anyone who chooses travel suppliers is given extra guidance on the risks in that sector.
Reporting concerns
If you have a concern about modern slavery connected with our business or supply chains, please contact Andrew Todd at info@powerfuldigitalmarketing.com, marking your message “Private”. We will look into every concern and will not treat anyone badly for raising one in good faith.
